“Udayamritham” is a one-hour morning show focussing on heritage, culture, yoga, folklore and has been telecast non-stop everyday(6.30-7.30 am Indian Standard Time), since inception of Amrita Television, one of the leading Malayalam television channels.
Every episode of the programme is a journey through the virtues of India, spread across the land. Through hymns of peace as echoed in its epics…along monuments of high life as captured by its rising temple domes…freshness of thought as depicted in its evergreen forests…boundless compassion as reflected in the snow-topped mountains…ability to cry for others as clear as rain that purifies. This programme is the manifestation of brimming pride of nationality, and also the seamless pleasure of being an Indian.
Every morning is a revelation. A new beginning. Indian philosophy teaches us that if one could spend the first three hours after sunrise with serenity and peace, so will the entire day be. UDAYAMRITHAM captures the essence of an Indian mind that wakes up to meet the world, filled with prayers to the unending light of Sun, fresh and innocent as a dew drop.

It won the Special Jury Awards for Best Director to Reji Syne and Best Compeer to Mochita and Best Cameraman to Prasanth Lensview
Longest Single Shot in Indian Television History
Increation's morning programme for Amrita TV “Udayamritham” has been featured in The Limca Book of Records 2007 -India at her Best for creating the “Longest single-shot non-fiction programme in Indian television.”
Featured on page 133 under the chapter, “Television”, the citation states –“Udayamritham is a one-hour morning program telecast on Amrita Television, a Malayalam satellite television which was launched on April 14, 2005. A special programme was conceived for Onam, the festival that all sections in Kerala identify with. Different traditional art forms were brought together at Arangottukara village in Thrissur district in Central Kerala. The filming was done in one shot for 55 mins in front of Varakkappally Mana, one of the important landmarks in the region, and aired on Sept 5, 2006.
“Around 50 traditional artists and 75 crew members worked in unison to create this episode of “Udayamritam”. Unlike fiction, the team were not able to dub the audio later and so went ahead with spot recording. The entire sequence was recorded using a hand-held camera. The show was anchored by Mochitha, winner of the State Government Award for Best Television Presenter. Reji Syne was the director and Prasanth the cameraman.
